AI Ethics & Data Practices

1. Our Mission

webblitz.ai helps brands understand and improve their visibility in AI-powered search engines. We provide analytics, monitoring, and content recommendations so businesses can see how AI platforms represent them — and take action to improve it.

2. How We Interact with AI Platforms

webblitz.ai accesses AI platforms exclusively through their official, commercial APIs with paid access and proper authentication:

• Google Gemini API — via Google AI Studio / Vertex AI
• OpenAI API — official ChatGPT / GPT-4 API
• Anthropic API — official Claude API
• Perplexity API — official Perplexity AI API

All API usage is subject to the respective provider's terms of service. We maintain active, paid accounts with each provider and use authenticated requests at all times.

3. No Scraping, No ToS Circumvention

We want to be explicit about what we do not do:

• We do not scrape AI platform websites or user interfaces
• We do not use headless browsers or simulated user interactions against AI platforms. (Reading YOUR public website for onboarding analysis may use a standard browser engine — only on pages that are publicly reachable, only at your request.)
• We do not reverse-engineer proprietary systems or protocols
• We do not circumvent rate limits or abuse API quotas
• We do not use unofficial or undocumented endpoints

All interactions with AI platforms happen through their documented, commercial API endpoints within the bounds of their terms of service.

4. Public Data Only

The AI responses we analyze are publicly available information — the same responses any user would receive when asking the same questions. We send standard prompts to AI APIs and analyze the responses. No private, proprietary, or restricted data is accessed. Your website is only analyzed at your explicit request, and only publicly accessible pages are examined.

5. User Website Analysis

When we analyze your website for content recommendations, this is done solely on your behalf and at your explicit request. We access only publicly available pages — the same content accessible to any search engine crawler or visitor. We do not access private pages, authenticated areas, or any data behind login walls.

6. No Unsolicited Marketing or Outreach

webblitz.ai is a monitoring and analytics tool. We want to be clear about what we are not:

• We do not send unsolicited outreach to third parties on behalf of our users. Publishing or notifications happen only through channels a user has explicitly connected and approved (e.g. their own Slack workspace)
• We do not provide advertising or promotional services
• We do not contact third parties about or on behalf of our users
• We do not submit content to AI platforms to influence their outputs

Our service helps users understand their AI visibility and create better content for their own websites. Any actions taken based on our recommendations are entirely at the user's discretion.

7. Content Generation

webblitz.ai generates content drafts and recommendations using commercial AI APIs. These drafts are created for the user's own use and review. The user retains full control over whether and how to publish any generated content. We do not publish, distribute, or submit content on behalf of users.

8. Images & Human Creativity

We believe AI and human art can — and should — work together. That's why webblitz.ai does not generate AI images. All imagery across our platform and blog is sourced from Unsplash via their official API, and every image includes proper attribution to the original photographer.

We chose this approach deliberately: real photography from real people. Supporting human creators is part of how we think about building responsibly in an AI-driven world. If we introduce image generation in the future, it will complement — not replace — human creative work.

9. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in encrypted databases hosted within the European Union. We use encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Our infrastructure is GDPR-compliant, and we follow industry-standard security practices. For full details on what data we collect and how we handle it, please see our Privacy Policy.
